Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will meet you at your hotel and you’ll set off toward Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about two hours along well-maintained tarmac roads. This remarkable park takes its name from the Tarangire River, a vital lifeline for wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals gather along its banks.
Tarangire is famous for its impressive elephant herds and offers excellent chances to spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeest, and many other plains animals. Predators such as lions and leopards are often nearby, drawn by the abundance of prey. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers, boasting one of the highest concentrations of bird species in the world. Towering ancient baobab trees dominate the landscape, some believed to be centuries old.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your game drive. Later in the afternoon, you will depart Tarangire and drive to Karatu for your overnight stay.

Following your stunning breakfast, you’ll journey into the refreshing highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where cooler air and dramatic scenery await. Along the way, you’ll pause to admire breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing your drive across the conservation area toward the Serengeti, entering the park through its southern plains.
Renowned for its endless horizons, the Serengeti offers one of the finest wildlife-viewing experiences in Africa. Its sweeping savannahs create the perfect setting for observing a wide range of animals, including impalas, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles.
The region is also prime predator territory, with frequent sightings of lions, cheetahs, and elusive leopards against the park’s iconic landscapes.

Southern Serengeti National Park (Ndutu)
After breakfast, you will journey through the sweeping plains toward the Ndutu region, enjoying scenic stops & wildlife along the way. This area is famous for the Great Migration circle, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move in search of fresh grazing.
At this time of year, the migration is usually concentrated in Southern (Ndutu), an area within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lake Ndutu, an alkaline lake and vital water source, is a key feature of this landscape. You will enjoy game viewing enroute before settling into your seasonal tented camp for overnight.
The following day is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Ndutu, exploring its diverse habitats of open plains, woodlands, and swamps. During the calving season, especially in February, thousands of wildebeest give birth within a short period, attracting predators such as the big cats. After an exhilarating day of wildlife encounters, you'll return to camp for dinner & overnight under the African sky.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where wildlife is often spotted along the green highland slopes, including groups of giraffes and grazing antelope. By the time you will arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will enjoy breathtaking views into this remarkable natural amphitheater.
Descending into the crater reveals an extraordinary ecosystem enclosed by towering volcanic walls. Formed millions of years ago after a massive volcanic collapse, the crater shelters open grasslands, acacia forests, freshwater springs, lakes, and marshes. On the crater floor, you will encounter the big 5, large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and an impressive variety of wildlife & birdlife.

Day 8
Lake Manyara to Arusha
Lake Manyara to Arusha
This morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Your final destination on this epic safari! Manyara is a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. Everything you’ll see here is on a different scale. It is both compact (this is one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary).
The park’s namesake is a shallow, Salt Lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of wading birds (including flamingos and over 500 other bird species). You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and watch for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park.
After your game drive, you will be dropped off at a place of your choice either in Arusha city or a drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport as you planned. We hope you have enjoyed your adventure with us!
