1-Day Akagera NP Wildlife Safari

Today early morning we leave Kigali at about 5 am for a day trip to Akagera national park, which is about 2 hours away from Kigali. Akagera national park is majorly a Savannah park. The game drive towards the northern part of the park will give you opportunities of sighting; Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Impalas, Waterbucks, Rhinos, the elusive leopard and recently introduced Lions.

Arrive at the park from the southern gate to the park reception for a short briefing about the park. Most of your day will spent in the northern sector of the park which host many wildlife because of the landscape and vegetation. The Akagera game drive can last about 6 hours depending on the animal sightings and interest.

The tour guide will advise on lunch packages – where you will be able to purchase lunch or carry packed lunch. You will then proceed with your game drive and exit via the northern gate later that evening. You will be transferred to the hotel or airport.
