Day 1

Mombasa to Tsavo East via Bachuma Gate

Mombasa to Tsavo East via Bachuma Gate

Pick up from your hotel in Mombasa around 08:30 hrs and drive inland toward Tsavo East National Park. Enter through Bachuma Gate for your first wildlife sightings along the park’s open plains and riverbeds. After a short game drive, continue to Voi town for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, return to Tsavo East for a game drive before heading back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Tsavo East to Amboseli – Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, depart Voi around 08:00 hrs and drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive before midday, check in, and enjoy lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, take a game drive in the park’s southern marshlands, with excellent opportunities to see elephants and other wildlife against Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Amboseli. Explore the Amboseli marshlands, a vital refuge for wildlife during the dry season and home to many unique species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Observation Hill viewpoint, taking in panoramic views of the park and Mount Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon and early evening, continue your game drive when wildlife viewing is at its peak, before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Amboseli to Tsavo West

After breakfast, check out and drive toward Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive and explore the park’s key attractions. Visit Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos in the underground viewing chambers. Take photos of the stunning Shetani Lava Flow, with its dramatic basalt formations, and enjoy views of the beautiful Chaimu Volcano. You will also enjoy exploring Lake Jipe, a stunning crater lake that is also one of the best places for wildlife viewing in the vast ecosystem. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
