Welcome to Tanzania hearts

Welcome to Tanzania hearts

Your Tanzanian adventure begins as you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your professional safari guide will greet you and transfer you to Arusha, the gateway to northern Tanzania’s safari circuit. Arusha is a vibrant city surrounded by mountains, making it the perfect starting point for your wildlife journey.

After settling into your hotel or lodge, you’ll have time to relax and recover from your flight. In the evening, gather with your guide for a detailed safari briefing, where you will learn about the upcoming itinerary, the parks you’ll visit, and the wildlife you are likely to encounter. This is also the perfect opportunity to ask questions and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Ranking as the 6th largest national park in Tanzania and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometres, it is most popular for its large elephant herds and is usually very dry, in fact, drier than the Serengeti.

However, its vegetation is much greener with lots of grass, vast areas with mixed acacia woodlands and some of the wonderful ribbons of the aquatic forest. Also, giant baobab trees that can live up to 600 years storing between 300 and 900 litres of water are here.

In the afternoon, you will break for lunch.

After lunch, the game drive continues until sunset when you will drive back to your lodge. There, you will relax, dine, swim and relive the memories you collected during the day.

Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. Over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometres in size. On this day, you will witness millions of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and eland on a mass trek to quench their thirst for water and to eat fresh grass. During this great cyclical movement, these ungulates move around the ecosystem in a seasonal pattern, defined by rainfall and grass nutrients.

Lunch will be offered on the vehicle during the safari. By late afternoon, you will arrive at your designated lodge to rest, dine and cherish the greatest moments you gathered during the safari.
