Upon your arrival in Fort-Dauphin, you will meet your guide and drive to Berenty. Along the
way, you will have the flexibility to stop, take photos, and explore the spiny forest thoroughly.
In the evening, your guide will lead you on a night walk to the Berenty Spiny Forest Reserve,
where you will have the opportunity to observe some species that are active only after dark.

Today, you will explore Berenty Reserve. situated along the Mandrake River amidst vast sisal
plantations. The reserve comprises multiple areas, including the spiny forest region called
Rapily, the main Berenty Reserve spanning 200 hectares, and the forested area named
Bealoka covering 100 hectares. Renowned for its lemurs, the reserve is home to six varieties,
including ringtail lemurs, brown lemurs, and Verreaux's sifakas, which are active during the
day. Additionally, the reserve is home to 103 bird species, including owls and couas.

Day 4
Berenty – Fort-Dauphin – Antananarivo

After breakfast, you will depart from Berenty to return to Fort-Dauphin. Along the journey
back, you will have the opportunity to make multiple stops to admire and capture
photographs of the landscape. Upon reaching Fort-Dauphin, you will be transferred to Fort-
Dauphin Airport for your return flight to Antananarivo.

Start your adventure with a morning departure from Antananarivo. As you journey towards
Andasibe, take a stop at Peyrieras Exotic Reptile and Butterfly Farm. Here, you'll explore a
diverse collection of reptiles and butterflies.
Continue your drive to Andasibe and check into your hotel. In the evening, embark on a night
walk in Voimma, where you;ll have the opportunity to discover nocturnal creatures.

Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, venture into the lush
Analamazaotra National Park for a guided walk through the rainforest. Keep an eye out for the
distinctive Indri lemurs, the largest lemurs in Madagascar. You'll also have the chance to spot
various other lemur species and exotic birds.
In the afternoon, head to Vakona Private Reserve. Here, you can interact with lemurs up close
and personal, surrounded by lush greenery.

After breakfast, you'll head back to Antananarivo. In the afternoon, you will visit the Musée de
la Photographie de Madagascar. This museum digitizes photographs from 1860 to 1960 to
preserve Malagasy photographic heritage and connect locals with their history. Then, you will
take a walking tour of Uppertown Antananarivo, visiting the Queen's Palace, formerly known
as Manjakamiadana Palace, but now called Madagascar Palace. Situated at the highest point
of the city, the palace offers an impressive view, and our guide will provide fascinating stories
and historical insights.
Dinner at Marais Restaurant, a gourmet restaurant that has become the pride of Madagascar.
This unique venue is where French cuisine meets the treasures of Malagasy terroir. Tonight,
you will enjoy the "Voyage du Goût" menu, which features fresh, seasonal produce served in
five courses with two different glasses of wine.

After breakfast, you will head to Ambohimanga, a hill and traditional fortified royal settlement
(rova) located approximately 24 kilometers northeast of the capital city, Antananarivo.
Ambohimanga is the most significant symbol of the cultural identity of the Merina people and
represents the most important and best-preserved monument of the precolonial Merina
Kingdom.
Following the visit, you will be transferred to Ivato International Airport for your international
flight.
