Nairobi - Amboseli | Into Elephant Country

Early morning departure from Nairobi. The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours. Before Amboseli even fully unfolds, you’ll begin spotting elephants dotting the landscape en route to your lodge.

Arrive in time for lunch and a short rest. The afternoon game drive starts gently and builds momentum. Amboseli isn’t about chasing predators; it’s about breathtaking scenery and majestic herds. Expect vast elephant families, open plains, and, weather permitting, your first clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Return to camp before sunset for dinner and overnight, with the mountain’s silhouette against the evening sky.

Focus of the day: Arrival, first elephant encounters, and settling into the unhurried rhythm of the park.

Your day begins at sunrise, capturing the legendary sight of elephant herds roaming the plains with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro rising behind them. We’ll spend the entire day exploring the park, tracking wildlife across its vast ecosystems from the life-giving swamps, crowded with elephants and buffalo, to the open plains where predators hunt. With the advantage of a full day in the park, we maximize your opportunity to witness thrilling interactions and dramatic scenes. The adventure culminates with an optional sundowner overlooking the savanna, followed by dinner and your overnight stay.
