Lake eyasi for hadabe cultural tour

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, driving toward the remote and scenic Lake Eyasi, located southwest of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Upon arrival, you will meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. Experience their traditional way of life by joining them on a morning hunting excursion, learning about their survival skills, use of bows and arrows, and deep knowledge of the surrounding bush. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the Datoga tribe, skilled blacksmiths known for crafting tools and jewelry. This authentic cultural encounter provides a rare insight into ancient traditions that have been preserved for generations. After the cultural activities and a picnic lunch, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn, where you can relax in the peaceful garden environment and reflect on the day’s experience.

Arusha National Park is home to giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, and a variety of antelope species, as well as black-and-white colobus monkeys swinging through the treetops. The lakes often attract flamingos and other water birds, offering excellent photographic opportunities.
