Nairobi to Tsavo West

• Morning departure via Madaraka Express (SGR) from Syokimau SGR Terminus to Voi
• Enjoy the scenic 4–4.5-hour train journey to Voi
• Arrival at Voi SGR station and private transfer to the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, elevated on stilts with panoramic views of the waterhole
• Check-in followed by a hearty lunch
• In the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive inside the private Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – renowned for excellent year-round wildlife viewing, including lions, elephants (often covered in the famous red Tsavo dust), buffalo, giraffe, and more
• Return to the lodge as animals congregate at the floodlit waterhole visible from the restaurant and most rooms
• Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.

Tsavo West to Nairobi

• Check out by 10:00 and transfer back to Voi SGR station in time for the afternoon Madaraka Express (SGR) return train to Nairobi (usually departs around 14:45-15:15).
