After pickup from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or airport, you’ll embark on a drive to Amboseli in a comfortable 4x4 via the Nairobi–Mombasa Road. En route, the majestic outline of Mount Kilimanjaro becomes a constant companion, leading you to the park. You’ll reach your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch, followed by your first exciting game drive in search of elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, ostriches, and many other species. Amboseli’s open plains allow for superb wildlife viewing, while clear evenings and early mornings may reward you with spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out across the vast plains of Amboseli National Park for a full day of adventure and wildlife encounters. Early morning offers the clearest views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds gather around its summit, creating a dramatic backdrop to your game drive. This is an excellent time to spot big cats such as lions and cheetahs, along with large herds of elephants and a remarkable variety of mammals and birdlife found within the park.
You will also have the chance to visit the iconic Amboseli Observation Hill, where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in sweeping panoramic views of the park’s swamps, plains, and distant mountain scenery.

After a delightful breakfast, you will check out and begin your scenic journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you’ll pause at the dramatic Great Rift Valley Escarpment, a vast geological trench that runs from the Middle East down to Mozambique, offering sweeping views of the valley floor.
You will continue to Naivasha for lunch to maximize time for wildlife viewing before heading out on an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is a haven for bird enthusiasts, famous for its flocks of pink flamingos lining the lakeshore, as well as diverse wildlife including white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and many other species. In the evening, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

In the afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai village for an authentic cultural encounter. Here, you will learn about the traditions, lifestyle, and unique customs of the Maasai people, gaining insight into their deep connection with the land and wildlife that surround the reserve.
After the visit, return to your camp to relax and enjoy dinner, followed by an overnight stay as you prepare for the adventures ahead.

The reserve’s open plains, dotted with acacia trees and blessed with a pleasant climate, create ideal conditions for spectacular game viewing throughout the day.
You will pause for a picnic lunch along the banks of the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles are often seen basking in the water, and during the migration season (July–October), you may even witness dramatic river crossings. Later in the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

From Masai Mara to Nairobi
From Masai Mara to Nairobi
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge before checking out and preparing for your return journey. Afterward, depart the reserve and start the scenic drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley along the way.
Enroute, your guide will point out the impressive Mount Longonot, an extinct stratovolcano rising prominently from the Rift Valley floor. Its name is derived from the Maasai word “Oloonong’ot,” meaning “mountains of many spurs,” a reference to its rugged ridges and striking shape.
Continue with the journey to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport, marking the end of your memorable safari.
