Transfer from Arusha to Lake Natron

Transfer from Arusha to Lake Natron

Your safari begins with pick-up from your accommodation or any preferred location in Arusha by our professional safari guide. After a short briefing, you will depart for Lake Natron, driving through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, passing Maasai villages and vast open plains.

Lake Natron is one of Tanzania’s most remote and striking destinations, located at the base of the active volcanic mountain, Oldoinyo Lengai. The area offers a unique cultural encounter with the Maasai community, where you may visit a traditional village and learn about their customs, pastoral lifestyle, and deep-rooted traditions.

Later, explore the shores of Lake Natron, renowned for its alkaline waters and as the primary breeding ground for thousands of flamingos. The lake’s red and pink hues create spectacular photographic scenery. Depending on your arrival time, you may also enjoy a guided walk to nearby waterfalls hidden within the escarpment.

After an early breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park with game viewing en route. As you enter the endless plains of the Serengeti, wildlife sightings often begin immediately.

The Central Serengeti (Seronera region) is famous for its year-round wildlife activity due to the Seronera River, which provides a permanent water source. This makes it one of the most reliable areas for consistent game viewing throughout the year.
Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring kopjes (rocky outcrops), open savannah, and riverine ecosystems. Expect to see large herds of zebras and wildebeests, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, elephants, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards are commonly sighted in this region.

A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location inside the park before continuing with your afternoon exploration.

This is one of the best locations in Africa to spot the Big Five in a single day. You may encounter black rhinos, large lion prides, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and a rich variety of birdlife around Lake Magadi.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before continuing your game drive across the diverse landscapes of grasslands, swamps, and soda lakes.
