Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Today, you’ll meet the Lobo Africa guide who will be ready to pick you up at your hotel. From Arusha, you’ll embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park, marking the beginning of your exciting adventure. The drive time from Arusha to Tarangire National Park is 2 hours.

Tarangire National Park is like an exciting adventure into Tanzania’s wildlife paradise. The park is full of different and impressive animals, especially large groups of elephants, majestic lions, elegant giraffes, and various types of antelopes. While exploring the area, be sure to look out for the colorful, like the beautiful lilac-breasted rollers and charming lovebirds. The wide grassy plains, ancient baobab trees, and the winding Tarangire River make a beautiful backdrop, creating lovely scenes for your wildlife experiences.

Serengeti National park full experience

On Day 3, you will rise early for a magical sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park, when the wilderness awakens in golden light. This is the best time to encounter elusive nocturnal species returning from their nightly hunts, as well as predators such as lions and leopards still active before the heat of the day sets in. Herbivores gather along the roadside to avoid the damp grass and morning dew, offering excellent close-up viewing and remarkable photographic opportunities.

After returning to camp for a relaxed breakfast, you will head back into the vast Serengeti plains for a full-day game drive. With picnic lunch in hand or breaks at scenic spots, you will explore different habitats—open savannah, acacia woodlands, and riverine areas—maximizing your chances of spotting the Big Five and witnessing the incredible diversity of wildlife that makes the Serengeti world-famous.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will descend early into the Crater floor for game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier you descend to the Crater floor so you may descend after breakfast or even with a packed breakfast to be at the Crater floor as early as you can and better your chances of seeing the rare animals like black rhinos with a little luck. You'll spend the better part of the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater until lunchtime. Ngorongoro Crater, with its 60 to 650 meter high walls, is like a natural zoo with the highest concentration of wild animals. It is here where you can even spot the Big Five in one day if lucky enough. After picnic lunch, which you will most likely take at the hippo poolside designated picnic site, you will drive up the Crater rim and out of the Conservation area to Arusha Airport for your one-hour flight to Zanzibar.
