Day 1

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. After a short briefing, you will depart by road for Amboseli National Park, driving through scenic countryside, local towns, and Maasai homesteads. As you approach the park, weather permitting, you may catch your first breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro rising majestically above the plains.

You will arrive in time for lunch followed by your first afternoon game drive. Amboseli is world-famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Kilimanjaro. During your drive, you may spot lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, and a rich variety of birdlife around the swamps.

In the evening, you will proceed to Manjaro Camp for check-in. Enjoy dinner at the camp and relax under the African night sky as you settle in for your overnight stay.

Day 2

Amboseli National Park

You will start the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. The golden sunrise lighting up Kilimanjaro provides spectacular photography opportunities. You may see elephants grazing in the marshlands, hippos in the swamps, and predators returning from their night hunts.

After the drive, return to Manjaro Camp for breakfast and leisure time. You can relax at the camp, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or simply take in the views of the vast plains.

In the afternoon, head out for another game drive exploring different areas of the park. Amboseli’s compact size and diverse habitats make wildlife viewing particularly rewarding. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and your second overnight stay.

Day 3

Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will check out and depart Amboseli, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward Naivasha. The journey offers beautiful landscapes, escarpments, and rural highland views.

Upon arrival in Naivasha, you will enjoy an afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha. The lake is home to hippos and abundant birdlife including fish eagles and pelicans. The calm waters and scenic surroundings provide a relaxing contrast to the savannah safari experience.

Later, continue to Nakuru and check in at Midland Hotel Nakuru. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will head out for a full game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s most famous parks. The park is renowned for its populations of white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, and large flocks of flamingos that often line the shores of the lake.

You will explore the park’s woodlands, grasslands, and lakeshore areas, with opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints such as Baboon Cliff for panoramic views of the lake.

In the afternoon, return to Midland Hotel Nakuru for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will depart Nakuru and drive toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley and into rolling savannah landscapes dotted with Maasai villages.

Upon arrival, you will check in at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit a traditional Maasai village where you will learn about the Maasai people’s culture, traditions, dances, and way of life. This cultural experience offers insight into one of East Africa’s most iconic communities.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Today you will enjoy a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara. The reserve is famous for its rich wildlife population including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras. If traveling during migration season, you may witness part of the spectacular Great Migration.

A picnic lunch may be served in the park near the Mara River, where dramatic river crossings sometimes occur.

Return to Jambo Mara Safari Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
