Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its rolling savannah, majestic baobabs, and large elephant herds. Spot giraffes nibbling acacia leaves, lions resting in the shade, or cheetahs scanning the plains. Delight in the park’s colorful birdlife, from lilac-breasted rollers to ostriches, and enjoy a picnic lunch amid the wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, depart from Serengeti National Park with a scenic game drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Are, where the landscape rises into cool, green highlands. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera teeming with wildlife. Enjoy an extensive game drive across open grasslands and acacia forests, spotting lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and possibly the rare black rhino. Pause for a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Later, ascend the crater walls and continue to Karatu, arriving at your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast at Ngare lodge in Karatu, you'll drive down to Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse wildlife areas. Though relatively small in size, the park boasts remarkable ecosystems ranging from lush groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to open grasslands and the alkaline lake itself.

Lake Manyara is famous for its large troops of baboons and its rare tree-climbing lions, often seen resting on acacia branches. Along the lakeshore, thousands of flamingos create a pink shimmer across the water, while hippos wallow in shallow pools. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a rich variety of birdlife are commonly spotted during a game drive.

A picnic lunch within the park allows you to relax amid nature before continuing your journey, carrying memories of this beautiful and compact wildlife paradise.

Arusha to Materuni Waterfalls & Departure

After breakfast at your Hotel, depart for Materuni Village on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. A guided walk through green farmland and tropical forest leads you to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, where crystal-clear water cascades into a natural pool below. Enjoy the cool mist and peaceful surroundings while taking photos and soaking in the scenery.

Later, take part in a traditional Chagga coffee ceremony, learning how coffee is grown, roasted, and prepared by hand before enjoying a fresh cup with light refreshments. After this cultural and nature experience, transfer comfortably to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
