Day 1

The tour will start by picking you up directly from your hotel in the morning and transferred to a traditional spice farm to begin your guided tour. Here, you will explore lush plantations while discovering, smelling, and tasting Zanzibar’s world-famous spices and tropical fruits, and learning about their cultural and historical importance. After this immersive countryside visit, the journey continues to Stone Town for a guided walking tour through its maze of narrow streets, lively markets, and historic sites reflecting centuries of Swahili, Arab, and European influence. Highlights include the former slave market and the iconic Old Fort. An optional local lunch in Stone Town is available for an extra cost. At the end of the day’s activities, you will be transferred back and dropped off at your hotel.
