Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
The safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, descending the spectacular Great Rift Valley escarpment. The Rift Valley is a continuous geographic trench, approximately 6,000 kilometers, created by the tectonic separation of the African Plate. After a brief stop at a viewpoint to observe the expansive floor of the valley, the journey continues through the town of Narok, the commercial hub of the Maasai people.
Upon arrival at the Rhino Tourist Camp, guests check in and enjoy lunch before an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is the northernmost section of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem and is famous for its "Big Five" sightings. The late afternoon is the optimal time to observe prides of lions (Panthera Leo) as they begin to stir from their midday lethargy.

Full Day Exploration of the Masai Mara
Full Day Exploration of the Masai Mara
A full day is dedicated to exploring the vast rolling plains of the reserve. The Mara is characterized by its "kopjes" (granite outcrops) and riparian forests along the Mara River. If the safari occurs between July and October, travelers may witness the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras cross the crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River in search of greener pastures.
The day includes a picnic lunch under a croton tree, allowing for maximum time in the field. Key species to look for include the elusive leopard (Panthera pardus), often found draped over the branches of acacia trees, and the cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus), which utilizes the flat plains for high-speed hunts.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Following an early morning game drive and breakfast, the tour departs the Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site and serves as one of Kenya's most successful private rhino sanctuaries. Travelers check into the Buraha Zenoni Hotel in Nakuru.
Lake Nakuru is an endorheic soda lake, meaning it has no outflow, leading to high alkalinity that supports the growth of Spirulina algae. This algae is the primary food source for the Lesser Flamingo, which can occasionally number in the hundreds of thousands, painting the shoreline pink.

The park also hosts the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, relocated here for conservation purposes. After lunch, the journey continues to Lake Naivasha, the highest lake in the Rift Valley at 1,884 meters
Accommodation is provided at the Chambai Hotel (or similar). The afternoon is free for optional activities, such as a boat safari to observe the lake’s dense population of hippos and over 400 species of birds, including the African fish eagle (Haliaeetus voicer).

Hells Gate National Park to Amboseli
The day begins with a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, located just south of Lake Naivasha. This park is geologically significant for its obsidian caves and geothermal activity. It is one of the few parks in Kenya where visitors can cycle among wildlife, such as plains zebras and Thomson's gazelles, due to the lack of large predators.
After exploring the gorge, the tour proceeds south toward Amboseli National Park, passing through Nairobi for lunch. Arriving in the evening, travelers check into Eliata Bush Camp (or similar), situated with views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.

Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is world-renowned for its "Big Tuskers"—large African elephants (Loxodonta africana) that roam the park’s swamps. The park’s unique hydrology is fueled by underground springs from Kilimanjaro’s melting snow, creating permanent wetlands in an otherwise arid landscape.
A full day of game drives includes a visit to Observation Hill, which offers a panoramic view of the Enkongo Narok swamp and the dry lakebed of Lake Amboseli. On a clear day, the snow-capped peak of Kibo (the highest point of Kilimanjaro) provides a stunning backdrop for photography.
