Central Serengeti
Central Serengeti, also known as the Seronera area, is the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem and one of the best wildlife viewing regions in Tanzania. It is famous for its year-round game viewing due to the Seronera River, which provides a reliable water source that attracts a high concentration of animals. The area is well known for large populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and hyenas, making it an excellent location to spot the Big Cats. Central Serengeti is also part of the Great Migration route, especially between April and June and again from October to November. Activities in this area include morning and afternoon game drives, full-day wildlife safaris, Great Migration viewing (seasonal), hot air balloon safaris at sunrise, bird watching, and photography safaris. With its endless plains and rich wildlife, Central Serengeti offers an unforgettable and action-packed safari experience.

Day 3
Ngorongoro crater to depature
Ngorongoro crater to depature
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders and a highlight of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Formed over two million years ago when a giant volcano collapsed, it is the world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater measures about 19 kilometers in diameter and covers approximately 260 square kilometers, creating a unique and self-contained ecosystem.
Located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Visitors can expect to see the “Big Five” lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhinoceros all within a single game drive. The crater floor also supports large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, hippos, and hyenas. Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake at the center, often attracts flocks of flamingos and other water birds.
