Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or lodge by your driver-guide and driven to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descending into the crater offers a unique chance to observe animals during their most active hours. This world-famous crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders, is home to the rare black rhinoceros and a wide variety of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, African buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and giant elephants.

The crater also supports a rich population of African big cats and other predators, such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard, often requiring a keen eye to spot. Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic site before exiting the crater in the late afternoon and returning to your lodge or hotel.
