Day 2

After breakfast, your Kilipath African Safaris guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park, a scenic journey of approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. The park, named after the Tarangire River, serves as the lifeline for wildlife during the dry season and is renowned for its impressive elephant herds.

During your game drive, you may spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a variety of predators including lions and leopards. Tarangire is also celebrated for having one of the highest bird diversities in the world, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Towering ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old, add to the park’s remarkable scenery.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated spot inside the park before you continue to your accommodation in Karatu for a relaxing evening.
