Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by one of our dedicated representatives and transferred to Crossroads Hotel Nairobi, a comfortable, well-positioned base that offers convenience without city chaos.

If you arrive early and feel up to it, I recommend one gentle introduction:

After breakfast, you depart by road, and this drive matters.
You descend into the Great Rift Valley, pausing at the escarpment where the land drops dramatically below. It’s geography on a grand scale. From there, farmland slowly gives way to acacia-dotted plains.

Late morning, you drive to Nairobi for lunch, then continue south to Amboseli.
Arrival is timed for an afternoon game drive.

Savannah to Sea – Amboseli to Diani Beach via SGR & Coastal Transfer

After breakfast, you depart Amboseli by road, heading toward Emali. This drive offers one last look at Amboseli’s open plains before transitioning into Kenya’s changing landscapes.

At Standard Gauge Railway Kenya (Emali Station), you board the modern Madaraka Express for your journey to the coast. The train is comfortable, efficient, and offers a different perspective of the country as you pass through Tsavo’s vast wilderness. Keep an eye out for elephants and other wildlife along the way.

Upon arrival at the Mombasa Terminus, you are met and transferred to Diani Beach via the scenic Dongo Kundu Bypass, avoiding the Likoni ferry and ensuring a smooth, uninterrupted journey.

By late afternoon, you arrive at Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort, where the rhythm of the Indian Ocean replaces the pace of safari.

The rest of the day is yours.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast overlooking the ocean before checking out.

At the appropriate time, you are transferred from Diani to Moi International Airport, with a brief stop en route at a local Swahili market. Here, you can browse handcrafted souvenirs, including carvings, textiles, and spices, supporting local artisans and coastal communities.

You then board your domestic flight with Jambojet from Mombasa to Nairobi, arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your onward international flight home.

For those with later departures, an optional Swahili cooking experience can be arranged before your airport transfer, an opportunity to explore coastal flavors one last time.
