Day 1

Start your day with a 5:30 a.m. pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Nairobi National Park for an early morning game drive. Known as the only national park located within a capital city, the park sits just 7 kilometers from the city center and offers a rare chance to see wildlife with Nairobi’s skyline in the background. Look out for lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and many bird species as you explore the savannah.

After the game drive, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, famous for rescuing and raising orphaned baby elephants. Learn about the conservation work carried out to protect elephants and rhinos from poaching and habitat loss, and watch the young elephants during their feeding session.

Later, stop at a local restaurant for coffee or lunch and browse galleries and souvenir shops if you wish. Continue to the nearby Giraffe Centre in Langata where you can feed Rothschild giraffes from raised platform. After the visit, return to your hotel in Nairobi.
