Scenic Drive to Manyara Escarpment & Rest at Safari Lodge
Scenic Drive to Manyara Escarpment & Rest at Safari Lodge
Today, our safari guide will meet you and take you to the starting point of your safari tour – a lodge with views of Lake Manyara – so you can enjoy the day at your own pace and relax. This program is ideal for those finishing a Kilimanjaro climb, or starting their journey from Arusha, Moshi, or the Arusha and Kilimanjaro airports, as your first day is free and we can pick you up almost anytime.
If you plan to start your safari on the same day as your arrival in Tanzania, we recommend flights arriving no later than 12:00 PM to allow enough time to reach your lodge, as the drive can take up to 4 hours. For later arrivals, we suggest booking a hotel closer to the airport. Our travel experts are happy to help you choose the best option for your itinerary.

Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
Today you’ll explore the legendary Ngorongoro Crater! Your day starts early as your guide drives you into this massive volcanic caldera, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The descent into the crater takes about 30 minutes through lush forests, with a stop at a lookout for a panoramic view. The crater is home to tens of thousands of animals, offering more wildlife variety per square meter than anywhere else. Elephants, buffalo, antelopes, lions, cheetahs, zebras, and even rare rhinos can be seen. Most animals remain inside, enjoying fresh grass and safe prey.
After your morning game drive, stop for a snack at Lake Magadi, a hotspot for birds (watch out for cheeky kites!) and hippos that often surface near the shore. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is celebrated for its rich wildlife and unique ecosystem, making every moment inside the crater unforgettable.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
Today’s adventure takes you to the world-famous Serengeti, in the stunning Seronera area. The park is home to over 3 million animals and stretches across an area so vast it would take 2-3 days to cross by car, giving wildlife plenty of space to roam freely. Here, you’re almost guaranteed to see lions, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras, with a good chance of spotting cheetahs, serval cats, and other rare savannah animals. The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its unique ecosystem, dense wildlife, and the annual Great Migration. Life here inspired Disney’s Lion King, but unlike a cartoon, it’s raw, wild, and breathtaking.

Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
Your adventure continues in the vibrant central Serengeti area. This vast landscape teems with wildlife - too much to take in during a single day. Today, your guide will lead you to new spots and highlight fascinating animals, giving you a broader view of the Serengeti’s richness. Seronera is home to some of Africa’s rarest species, including rhinos, leopards, serval cats, and caracals. Sometimes it can take several hours to spot a rare animal, but with a full day ahead, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to focus on the creatures you most want to find.

Day 5
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
This is your final day in central Serengeti, and the savannah promises fresh surprises. Each day brings something new - yesterday’s lazy lions might be on the move, elephants that wandered away could approach curiously, and who knows, a cheetah might even perch atop the safari vehicle for a closer look! Today is also a perfect chance to admire the famous Kopjes - striking volcanic rock formations where animals rest, offering incredible photo opportunities. Don’t miss Simba Rock, the very spot that inspired the opening scene of The Lion King, where Mufasa lifts baby Simba to survey the savannah - now you can see it for yourself in Seronera.
