With a lazy breakfast, start the drive to Musanze town in the nothern province of Rwanda and check into your booked accommodation enjoy a hot lunch and settle in your rooms as you enjoy the cool sorroundings overlooking the virunga mountains. In the Evening you will visit the famous Ellen DeGeneres campus of Dian Fosey Gorilla fund to learm more about wildlife and Mountain Gorilla conservation. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day’s trekking.

The Ultimate Mountain Gorilla Encounter & Visit to Gorilla Guardians for Community Immersion

After an early morning breakfast. After a short briefing about dos and don’ts about gorilla trekking at the park headquarter, you will enter forest in search of the gorillas. The trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle and your group speed as well. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour as you learn about the social life and family setup

In the evening, Visit the Gorilla Guardians for a community immersion with the locals who play a big role in conserving the wildife in the area. Retire the day at the lodge.

Kigali City tour and Departure

We depart the home of Moumatin Gorillas as we drive back to Kigali for your international departures. Upon arrival in Kigali, enjoy the kigali city tour which includes a visit to Kigali genocide memorial centre, to learn from what happened during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi whereby 1 million Rwandans were killed in only 100 days. The city tour will include a visit the Nyamirambo women center, Richard Kandt museum.

Later in the day, transfer back to Kigali international aiport for your departure.
