Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through savannah and acacia woodland while spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest near the Tarangire River.
After an early dinner at the lodge, you will depart at around 20:00 hours for an exciting night game drive. Accompanied by an experienced guide and using a spotlight, you will have the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife that is rarely seen during the day. These may include leopards, bush babies, genets, civets, porcupines, and other night-active species, as well as predators on the hunt. The night drive offers a completely different perspective of the park, with sounds and movements of the wilderness coming alive after dark. Return to your lodge or camp later in the evening for overnight.

Day 2
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you depart for the famous Serengeti National Park traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands. As you enter Serengeti the landscape opens into endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.

Today you spend a full day exploring the incredible wildlife of Serengeti National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to explore different areas of the park while searching for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as well as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. Serengeti is also famous for the Great Migration where millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

Another exciting day awaits in the spectacular Serengeti National Park. Early morning game drives provide excellent opportunities to see predators while they are most active. You will explore different regions of the park including river valleys and open savannah where large herds of wildlife gather. After a day filled with wildlife encounters you return to your lodge or camp for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast depart Serengeti and travel to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a spectacular game drive in one of Africa’s most unique wildlife areas. The crater floor hosts a dense population of animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and the rare black rhino. After the game drive ascend the crater walls and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast travel to Lake Manyara National Park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through the park’s groundwater forests, open plains, and lakeshore areas. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants, hippos, and diverse birdlife including flamingos along the lake. Dinner and overnight near Lake Manyara or Karatu.

Day 7
Lake Eyasi
Lake Eyasi
Today you visit Lake Eyasi for a unique cultural experience with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe are among the last hunter-gatherer communities in Africa and you may have the opportunity to join them on a traditional hunting walk while learning about their ancient survival skills. You will also visit the Datoga people who are well known for their traditional blacksmithing and pastoral lifestyle. This cultural visit offers fascinating insight into traditional Tanzanian ways of life.

Day 8
Lake Duluti
Lake Duluti
On the final day, you will visit the beautiful Lake Duluti near Arusha. Enjoy a peaceful canoe/boat trip on the lake surrounded by lush forest and rich birdlife, followed by a short nature walk through the greenery where you can relax and take photos. After the visit, you will return to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable Northern Tanzania safari.
