Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Arusha is known as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit and sits at the foot of Mount Meru. After checking in, you can relax at the lodge and recover from your journey. If time allows, you may explore the town, visit local markets, or enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Your guide will brief you about the safari adventure ahead.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. The park is home to many animals including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many bird species. Enjoy an exciting game drive as you explore the park’s beautiful landscapes and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year. In the afternoon, continue with wildlife viewing before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, begin your journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. On the way, enjoy scenic landscapes and traditional Maasai villages. Upon arrival in the Central Serengeti, the heart of the park, start your first game drive across the vast plains. This area is rich in wildlife and offers great opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, and many other animals.

Full game drive in Central Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti. The park is famous for its incredible wildlife population and spectacular scenery. Early morning and afternoon game drives give you the best chance to see predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs in action. Depending on the season, you may also witness part of the Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive before leaving the Serengeti and traveling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its unique landscape and rich wildlife. Along the way, you may visit scenic viewpoints overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim where you will enjoy dinner and beautiful views.

Today you will descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa. The crater floor is home to a dense population of animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and rhinos. Enjoy a spectacular game drive in this natural wildlife sanctuary surrounded by high crater walls. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, continue exploring before returning to your lodge.

Lake Manyara and Return to Arusha
Lake Manyara and Return to Arusha
On the final day of your safari, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park known for its diverse landscapes, lush groundwater forests, and the shallow alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos and other bird species. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hippos.
Enjoy a relaxing morning game drive through the park while exploring its rich wildlife and scenic views along the lake shore. This small but stunning park offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.
After the game drive, you will begin your journey back to Arusha and continue to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari adventure.
