Your Big Cats Expedition Safari begins with an early morning pick-up in Nairobi followed by a scenic drive through the spectacular Great Rift Valley en route to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

Along the way, enjoy beautiful landscapes, local villages, and optional photo stops at the Rift Valley viewpoint. You will arrive at the Mara in time for lunch and check-in at Matiira Bush Camp.

Spend a full day exploring the spectacular plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s richest wildlife habitats and a prime location for spotting the famous Big Cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

After an early breakfast at Matiira Bush Camp, depart for an extensive game drive across the rolling savannah. Your guide will take you to some of the reserve’s best wildlife viewing areas, including the famous Mara River where crocodiles and hippos thrive and where the dramatic wildebeest migration crossings occur during migration season.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing with afternoon game drives in search of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species.

After an early breakfast at Matiira Bush Camp, depart the Masai Mara National Reserve and begin your journey south toward the Kenya–Tanzania border at Isebania.

Upon arrival, you will complete immigration and customs formalities before meeting your Tanzanian safari guide and continuing your adventure into the legendary Serengeti National Park. This vast ecosystem is world-renowned for its endless plains, incredible wildlife density, and exceptional big cat sightings.

Enjoy a game drive en route as you head toward the Ndutu region, an area famous for predator activity and seasonal wildlife concentrations.

Arrive later in the afternoon and settle into your safari camp.
