The journey continues to Ambatolampy, renowned for its traditional aluminum foundries where artisans craft pots and everyday utensils using age-old techniques. By late afternoon we arrive in Antsirabe, an elegant spa town known for its cool climate, colonial charm, and peaceful atmosphere—an inviting place to unwind after a scenic day through the Highlands.

Departing Antsirabe early in the morning, after the town gently awakens, the journey begins with a drive through Madagascar’s central highlands. The road winds past rice fields, traditional villages, and rolling landscapes before gradually descending toward the warmer western plains. Along the way, brief stops allow travelers to stretch, enjoy the scenery, and experience local life. After several hours on the road, the route finally reaches the coastal town of Morondava. Following the long but rewarding drive, the afternoon is reserved for a well-deserved rest at the hotel—time to relax, refresh, and enjoy the slower rhythm of the seaside before the adventures of the following day.
