Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. Depart the city and drive south toward Amboseli National Park, passing through small towns, open farmland, and Maasai pastoral areas.

Amboseli lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and is one of Kenya’s most scenic national parks. The landscape is made up of wide dusty plains, acacia woodland, and green swamps fed by underground water from Mount Kilimanjaro.

You will arrive at your luxury lodge in time for lunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in the park. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, many of which are well known to researchers and conservationists. Full Day in Amboseli

Spend the full day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The open plains make it easy to spot wildlife, while the swamp areas attract many animals throughout the day.

Elephants often gather in the marshlands to feed on fresh vegetation, and it is common to see large family groups moving slowly across the plains. Buffalo, hippos, and several species of antelope also use the wetlands as a reliable water source.

On clear mornings and evenings, Mount Kilimanjaro provides a remarkable backdrop to the park. With its snow-capped peak rising above the plains, it creates one of the most recognizable safari landscapes in Africa.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park, entering a region known for its dramatic scenery and rugged terrain. Compared to Amboseli’s open plains, Tsavo West features volcanic hills, rocky outcrops, lava flows, and dense bushland.

Arrive at your luxury lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive across the park’s diverse habitats.

One of the highlights of Tsavo West is Mzima Springs, a series of clear natural springs where fresh water flows from underground rivers. The pools attract hippos, crocodiles, and many fish species, while the surrounding vegetation supports monkeys and a variety of birdlife.

Day 4

Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast and a short morning game drive, continue your safari to Tsavo East National Park.

Tsavo East is one of the largest national parks in Kenya and is known for its vast open plains and red soil. Many elephants in this region appear reddish in color after dust bathing in the iron-rich earth.

Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and a short rest. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the park. Tsavo East supports large populations of elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, and giraffes. The park is also home to the Yatta Plateau, an impressive geological feature that is considered the longest lava flow in the world.

Tsavo East to Lake Naivasha

After an early breakfast, depart from Tsavo East National Park and begin the journey north toward the Great Rift Valley. The drive passes through changing landscapes including dry plains, farmland, and the escarpments of the Rift Valley.

Arrive in the afternoon at Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake known for its scenic setting and rich birdlife. The area is surrounded by acacia woodland and volcanic hills.

After checking in at your luxury lodge, you may choose to take an optional boat ride on the lake. During the boat safari you may see hippos resting in the water, fish eagles hunting along the shoreline, and many other bird species.
