Begin the day before sunrise with an unforgettable hot air balloon safari over the plains of Ndutu. As the balloon gently rises with the morning light, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife-rich landscape where the Great Migration calving season unfolds. Enjoy a final morning game drive across the wildlife-rich plains of Ndutu, The early hours offer excellent opportunities to witness predators returning from night hunts and herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing across the short-grass plains. You may also see young calves following their mothers, along with cheetahs, lions, and hyenas taking advantage of the abundance of prey.

After the game drive, begin your journey out of the Ndutu area and continue through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the highland town of Karatu. Along the way, enjoy views of rolling hills, Maasai villages, and fertile farmland that contrast with the open plains of the Serengeti ecosystem.

After an early breakfast from your hotel, depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and a variety of bird species. With luck, you may also spot the rare and endangered black rhino grazing on the open plains.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near one of the scenic hippo pools while surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the crater floor.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater and begin the drive back toward Arusha. Upon arrival, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari experience.
