Exploring Arusha national park

After a relaxed breakfast at River Trees Country Inn, depart for a short and scenic drive to Arusha National Park.

enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s varied habitats, from lush montane forests to open savannah and the scenic Momella Lakes. Keep an eye out for giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, and a variety of antelope species. The park is also home to black-and-white colobus monkeys and an impressive array of birdlife, including flamingos often seen along the lakes.

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for a scenic drive toward Materuni Village, located on the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro near Moshi.

Upon arrival, begin a short guided hike through beautiful green landscapes and local farms, leading you to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls. Take time to relax, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and admire the cascading falls—an ideal spot for photos and, for the adventurous, a refreshing dip.

After the hike, return to the village for an authentic coffee tour with the local Chagga community. Learn about the traditional process of coffee-making, from harvesting and roasting to grinding and brewing, all done in a lively and interactive way.
