Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a scenic drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve. As you travel through the stunning Great Rift Valley, you'll make a stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of one of the world’s most remarkable geological features. The drive continues through dramatic landscapes towards the Masai Mara,
where you’ll arrive for a delicious hot lunch. Afterward, you’ll embark on your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. The Masai Mara, famous for its rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery, offers a chance to spot some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. The reserve, at an altitude of 1,650 meters (5,414 feet), forms the northern extension of the Serengeti, extending over 1,510 square kilometers (almost 600 square miles.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, prepare for an exciting full day of exploration in the Masai Mara. The day will be spent on an extensive game drive, allowing you to witness the incredible variety of wildlife the reserve has to offer. Keep an eye out for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino—as well as other species such as hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, and hyenas. The Great Migration is a sight to behold, especially between July and October, when millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River in
