Day 1

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your lodge and transferred to Arusha Airport for a domestic flight to the Northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, you begin your first game drive through the expansive plains where zebras, gazelles, and wildebeest roam in large numbers. During the migration season, visitors may observe the immense movement of herds that characterizes the 5-Day Great Migration Safari experience, particularly near the Mara River where dramatic crossings may occur.

Your guide will introduce you to the Serengeti ecosystem, explaining wildlife behavior, predator-prey interactions, and migration patterns. In the evening you will be transferred to Heritage mara Camp where you can relax and enjoy dinner while listening to the sounds of the Serengeti wilderness.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day exploration of the Northern Serengeti, an area renowned for its concentration of wildlife and migration activity. Large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope often gather in this region while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas follow closely.

Your guide will search for wildlife hotspots and provide interpretation about animal movement and ecological relationships that shape the migration cycle. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing you to continue game viewing throughout the day. In the evening you return to Heritage Mara Camp for dinner and overnight.

Following breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Highlands. En route you will enjoy wildlife viewing before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater is home to one of Africa’s densest wildlife populations, including elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, zebras, and occasionally the rare black rhinoceros.

In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village where local community members share their customs, daily lifestyle, and traditional dances. This cultural experience provides insight into one of East Africa’s most iconic pastoral societies. Later in the evening you travel to Ngare Lodge in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, an area famous for its large elephant populations and iconic baobab trees. During the morning game drive you may encounter elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, buffalo, and numerous bird species inhabiting the park’s savannah and riverine habitats.
