Windhoek to Etosha National Park

Today, you will be picked up from your accommodation and you will begin your journey to Etosha national park.
Etosha National Park is a very popular stop on any Namibian tour. Above all, it is known as Namibia’s foremost wildlife sanctuary. The landscape is unique and varied and subsequently home to a wide variety of animals. For example lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and many more species of wildlife are found here.

Today after breakfast, you have the whole day to explore the national park, with your guide.
Etosha South makes up the southern region of this wild paradise. The area is comprised of a collection of world class private game reserves. The national park can be accessed via the southern entrance at Andersson’s Gate. Visitors can catch a glimpse of a variety of wildlife including: lion, giraffe, elephant, white and black rhino, and a multitude of plains game.

Etosha National Park to Opuwo
Etosha National Park to Opuwo
Today after breakfast, you will drive to Opuwo, Opuwo is situated in the northwest of Namibia and is the capital of the Kunene region. The town is home to about 5000 inhabitants. The Himba are the forefathers of the modern Herero and entered northern Namibia during the 15th / 16th century from Angola.
When you arrive, you will then spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Today, you will go for Nomad Himba village excursion. Ovahimba living museum is a place where you can interactively experience the traditional culture of the Ovahimba. The Museum acts as a traditional school for guests and for the children of the own community alike and at the same time it is an income generating institution.
The Museum is strategically located between the Ovahimba capital Opuwo and the paradisiac Epupa Falls at the Kunene River in the north of Namibia.

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Damaraland, in the area of Palmwag concession. Palmwag, an oasis and a tourism concession area on communal land in northern Namibia. It is located in the Kunene region on the Uniab River. Feel the freedom of this remote north-western corner of Namibia, a refuge for black rhino and lion, and home to the famous desert adapted elephant that follow the ephemeral rivers spanning the land like arteries of life.

Today, you will drive to Swakopmund. Swakopmund is a coastal city in Namibia, west of the capital, Windhoek. Its sandy beaches face the Atlantic Ocean. Established by German colonists in 1892, the city’s colonial landmarks include the Swakopmund Lighthouse and the Mole, an old sea wall. Next to the lighthouse, the Swakopmund Museum documents Namibian history. Inland, the elegant Swakopmund Railway Station.

Today after breakfast, you will go for a Sandwich Harbour excursion. Sandwich Harbour is an area located 60 km away from Walvisbay, where the Atlantic Ocean meets with the Namib Desert. After the excursion, you will travel back to Swakopmund. There are a lot of other activities you can partake in, as Swakopmund is the center of activities (Own cost).

Swakopmund to Sossusvlei

Today, you will be picked up from your accommodation and you will begin your journey to Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei is a stunning salt and clay pan surrounded by towering red sand dunes, some reaching 400 meters, located within the Namib-Naukluft National Park in Namibia's Namib Desert. Renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it features iconic landscapes like Deadvlei, Big Daddy dune, and Dune 45, making it a premier destination for photography, climbing, and exploring ancient desert ecosystem

Day 10

Today after breakfast, you have the whole day to explore the dunes of Sossusvlei, with your guide.
We depart at dawn from the lodge to arrive at the park gate for sunrise. We explore this unique area on foot before heading into Dead Vlei with its large expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal camel thorn trees, contrasting with a backdrop of huge dunes with their ever-changing colors.
We will make a stop at Big Daddy Dune and for those that have plenty of energy, climb up big daddy dune, the highest in the area for spectacular views over the Namib Desert.
Then, we make our way over to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, where we explore this vlei before enjoying brunch.
We return to Sesriem and visit the nearby Sesriem Canyon, once a source of permanent water for the local wildlife. Climb down into the canyon and appreciate this small but interesting geological formation. After the excursion, you will drive back to the lodge, relax and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Sossusvlei to Windhoek
Today you will drive back to Windhoek. Upon arrival, you will drive through to Windhoek, you will go for a City and Township tour, if time permit. After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
Katutura is a township of Windhoek. Katutura was created in 1961 following the forced removal of Windhoek's black population from the Old Location, which afterwards was developed into the suburb of Hochland Park. Sam Nujoma Stadium, built in 2005, is located within Katutura.
