Transfer to Akagera National Park, Lake Ihema Boat Cruise

On landing at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide and transfer to Kigali International Airport. From Kigali City to Akagera National Park, it is a journey of approximately 3 hours. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, in the afternoon you will go for a boat safari on Lake Ihema where you will various game like hippopotamuses, elephants quenching their thirst from the river banks, crocodiles and many bird species like the endangered shoebill stork, king fishers and many other water birds that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. Proceed to the lodge and spend the rest of day at rest, dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.

Full Day Game Drive in Akagera National Park

Rise up early in the morning, enjoy breakfast and head out for a full day game drive with great anticipation of see the different animals which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill especially the big cats like the leopards, lions and many other carnivores. Watch a number of herbivores like the rhinos grazing within the plains, gazelles, elephants, oribis, and many other rewarding game animals.
Return to the lodge for a hot lunch, a rest a while and then head out again for another game drive in Akagera National Park. After a thrilling game viewing experience, you will make your way back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Transfer to Kigali City
