Day 1

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will be picked up by your Driver – Guide (Our Company Representative) and drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park after a short briefing.
Drive southwards watching a number of rewarding attractions like the rolling hills of Rwanda, the homesteads and so on, have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the King’s Palace in Nyanza with lunch en-route. After lunch, you head out and go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk – a swing bridge 50 meters in length, suspended above the Nyungwe Forest Canopy. During the walk, you will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you and thereafter, head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Tracking Experience

Wake up early to a delicious breakfast at your lodge, head to Nyungwe National Park Headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda and the right way to behave while in the presence of chimpanzees as well as what to look forward to.
Head into the forest searching for chimpanzees, the activity takes about 3 hours giving you the opportunity to watch a number of primates including black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys as well as the rainforest. Spend one hour in presence of the chimpanzees, watching them feed, groom and folic in the rainforest.
After the rewarding experience, you will return to your lodge and later in the afternoon, take part in the community tour on which you will get a deeper insight into the life of the local people, be entertained by their traditional dances, and many other interesting features of the cultural groups. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After enjoying your leisurely breakfast at the lodge, you will check out of your lodge and reconnect with your guide who will drive you back to Kigali City with a stopover for lunch en-route. You will be dropped off at the airport or at your booked hotel in Kigali – bringing your safari to an end.
