3-Day Tsavo East Highlights and Red Elephants

Transfer from Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park

Depart Nairobi early in the morning, around 0700hrs, and drive southeast through the scenic countryside to Tsavo East National Park. Arrive at your lodge—Voi Safari Lodge or similar—in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive at 1600hrs, exploring the park’s vast savannahs, acacia-studded plains, and seasonal rivers. Spot the iconic red elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and an array of antelopes, all against the park’s dramatic volcanic landscapes.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning and evening game drive at Tsavo East National Park

Begin the day with an early morning game drive at 0700hrs, when wildlife is most active across the open savannah and near water sources. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch and relaxation during the midday heat. In the afternoon, depart again at 1600hrs for an evening game drive, exploring different areas of the park and increasing your chances of spotting predators and large herds of elephants.
Return to the Voi Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
