Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe, heading towards Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator for memorable photos and a short break before continuing through Uganda’s scenic countryside, dotted with rolling hills, farms, and local villages. You will arrive at the park in time for lunch and some relaxation at your lodge.

In the afternoon, set out for an exciting game drive across the savannah plains of Lake Mburo, where you may encounter zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, and other antelope species in their natural habitat. The park is well known for its rich wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

After dinner, you may embark on a thrilling night game drive with a ranger guide which is optional with extra charge. This unique experience offers the chance to spot nocturnal animals such as leopards, hyenas, bush babies, and other creatures rarely seen during the day. Return to your lodge for a peaceful overnight stay.

Start the day with an early walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, where you get close to the wildlife on foot. After the walk, enjoy lunch en route as you begin the journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive passes through the scenic Ankole farmlands, known for their rolling hills, lush pastures, and traditional villages. Keep an eye out for the impressive long-horned Ankole cattle grazing in the fields and local farmers transporting bananas (matoke), often balancing them skillfully on bicycles or carrying them on their heads to nearby markets. Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing on your gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by expert rangers, you will enter the dense forest on a guided trek to locate a family of mountain gorillas. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements and the terrain. Once found, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat, watching them play, feed, and interact.

After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, begin the scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi. The journey passes through rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and picturesque villages, offering stunning views of southwestern Uganda.
