Scenic Transfer From Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Entebbe or hotel, where you will start your journey to western Uganda. The drive offers beautiful views of rolling hills, farmlands, and vibrant local communities, giving you a true feel of the country’s landscape and culture.

You will have a memorable stopover at the Equator Line Uganda, where you can take photos, stretch your legs, and experience standing in both the northern and southern hemispheres at once. Afterward, continue with the journey and enjoy lunch at a convenient stop along the way.

Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Check in at your lodge and take some time to relax before heading out for an exciting evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. This is a great opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly lions as they become active in the cooler hours of the day.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive & Community Boat Experience at Katugurua

Begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, when wildlife is most active. This is the best time to spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, and possibly lions returning from their night hunt. The sunrise over the savannah creates a beautiful and memorable experience.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation as you prepare for the afternoon activity.

Later in the day, head to Katunguru for a unique community boat experience along the famous Kazinga Channel. This guided boat trip offers close views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of bird species along the water shores. Unlike standard cruises, the community boat provides a more local and authentic perspective, often guided by experienced community members.

After the boat cruise, transfer to Pumba safari cottages.

After breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you may choose to enjoy optional morning activities before starting your journey back. One of the top options is chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, a scenic forested valley known as the “Valley of Apes,” where you can search for habituated chimpanzees and other primates.

Alternatively, you can take part in carnivore tracking in the Kasenyi sector, a special research-based experience that allows you to track lions and other predators with expert guides, offering deeper insight into their behavior and conservation.

After the activity, begin your return journey to Entebbe, with a stop for lunch along the way and time to relax. Enjoy the scenic drive as you reflect on your wildlife adventure.
