Arusha to Tarangire National Park

An early breakfast will be served at the hotel. We will then drive to Tarangire National Park. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River that flows through it, one of the three giants of Tarangire, together with its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Known as the ‘river of warthogs,’ it becomes the main water source for wildlife during the dry season. Parts of the park have dense vegetation, including tall elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and green groundwater forest. Tarangire is famous for its elephants, often seen gathering along the river. You may also spot giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, with predators like lions and leopards nearby. The park is also rich in birdlife, with more breeding species recorded here than anywhere else. After lunch and a full game drive, we continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. At first sight, the crater feels like a hidden world, untouched and full of life. You will have a strong chance of spotting the endangered black rhino, along with large prides of lions. Formed when a massive volcano collapsed over two to three million years ago, the crater is known for its rich geology and one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

The descent into the crater is an experience on its own. Once on the floor, you will be surrounded by wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species, with chances to see elephants, buffalo, and even hyenas moving across the plains. The open grasslands also offer one of the best chances to spot the rare black rhino. After a packed lunch, we ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your five-day luxury safari, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
