2-Day National Park Safari in Pilanesberg

Arrival & Safari Adventure

Guests are picked up early from Johannesburg or Pretoria and driven to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The journey takes approximately 2–3 hours, with optional stops for breakfast and refreshments along the way (own account). Upon arrival around 09:00, the adventure begins with a 2½–3 hour morning game drive in a closed safari vehicle, where you can enjoy sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, and more. From 12:00 to 13:00, enjoy a light lunch and refreshments at Pilanesberg Centre overlooking a large waterhole. After lunch, you are transferred to Manyane or Bakgatla Resort to check in and drop off your bags. Mid-afternoon, between 16:00 and 16:30, meet your guide for a 2½–3 hour afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. Return to the resort in the evening to freshen up and enjoy a dinner prepared by your guide. Overnight accommodation is in thatched chalets at Manyane or Bakgatla Resort.

Sunrise Safari & Return

Wake early and embark on a 2½–3 hour sunrise game drive in an open safari vehicle, enjoying the quiet beauty of the bushveld and morning wildlife activity. After the drive, return to the resort for a hearty breakfast prepared by your guide. By mid-morning, pack up and check out as you head out for a final game drive in the bushveld. Stop for lunch and refreshments at Pilanesberg Centre (own account) before departing the park for the return journey to Johannesburg or Pretoria. Arrival back in the city is expected between 17:30 and 18:30, depending on drop-off points and traffic.
