After breakfast, meet your private guide for the drive from Entebbe to Kibale National Park. You will travel through vibrant villages and lush tea plantations before arriving at Isunga Lodge, positioned on the edge of the forest. Your stay here is on a full-board basis, including a delicious dinner at the lodge. This region is the primate capital of the world, and you’ll spend the evening listening to the sounds of the tropical rainforest from your private cottage.

Dedicate today to the primates of Kibale. The primary activity is trekking wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Please note that chimpanzee trekking permits are an optional extra and not included in the tour price. Other optional afternoon activities include a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary or a birding forest hike (at an extra cost). Return to Isunga Lodge for a second night of forest tranquility and full-board hospitality.

Leave the forest behind as you drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey offers spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains. You will arrive at the stunning Katara Lodge, perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, in time for dinner. Your stay is on a full-board basis. This park is famous for its diverse ecosystems, and you may even spot wildlife from the lodge’s dramatic viewpoint overlooking the savanna and the park's crater lakes.

Today’s journey takes you from the savanna into the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions as you pass through the Ishasha sector. Your destination is the ultra-luxurious Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, one of the only camps located inside the park boundaries. Your stay here is fully inclusive of meals and selected drinks. This evening, enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the camp as you prepare for your upcoming gorilla encounter.
