Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves. After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. This is the ideal time to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they hunt or patrol their territories.

You may choose to return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out again in the afternoon, or opt for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch, allowing you to explore deeper into the reserve. The Mara is home to the Big Five; lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino along with countless other species.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight, reflecting on a day filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Day 4

Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara National Reserve and begin your journey towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes, local towns, and the picturesque Great Rift Valley, offering a variety of views along the way.

Arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, which often line the shores in large numbers, creating a beautiful pink hue. The park is also a designated rhino sanctuary, providing excellent chances to see both black and white rhinos.

After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Rift Valley.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru National Park and begin your journey towards Amboseli National Park. This is a longer travel day, allowing you to experience Kenya’s diverse landscapes as you move from the Rift Valley through the central highlands and down to the southern plains.

You will have a planned stop for lunch either in Lake Naivasha or Nairobi, depending on timing. Arrive at your lodge late in the evening, where you will check in and unwind after the day’s drive. Please note that there will be no game drive on this day, allowing you to rest and prepare for the full day of safari activities ahead.
