Your safari begins with a morning pickup from Entebbe by our professional driver, who will briefly introduce the tour before you depart northwest to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most famous national park. On the way, you may stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos.

Have lunch and then make your way into the part towards the “Top of the Falls,” where the Victoria Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges 43 meters, creating a spectacular waterfall. Your overnight stay will be in the park.

Wake up early for a morning game drive on the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park, where you may spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes like Uganda kob, among others.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. This boat safari offers excellent views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and many bird species along the riverbanks.

Day 3

Today you will enjoy an early morning breakfast at your lodge, after which you will drive to Kibale National Park. On the way, you will pass through the beautiful countryside with the Albertine escarpments, pass through Hoima, and stop in Masindi for lunch.

After lunch, continue to Kibale National Park, one of Africa’s great rainforests. The park is home to 13 primate species, such as chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, and vervet monkeys, as well as birds like the rumped tinkerbird, the green-breasted pitta, and the yellow-spotted nicator, among others. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge, relax, and have dinner in the evening.

Day 4

Wake up early, have breakfast, and proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing, carrying your packed lunch from the lodge. Chimpanzee trekking involves following the trails to where the chimpanzees were last seen, under the guidance of park rangers and guides. Along the trek, you will also have a chance to spot other primate species.

After your encounter with the chimpanzees, return to the lodge to refresh. In the evening, take a nature walk around the Bigodi Wetland Swamp, where you may see other primates and mammal species.

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in western Uganda. The journey takes you through scenic countryside, tea plantations, rural villages, and foothill views of the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the “Mountains of the Moon.” You will arrive in the park in the evening and relax at the lodge prior to your overnight stay.

Begin the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which are famous for large populations of wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, and warthogs.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural channel connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat cruise is one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda, with large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and birds.

After breakfast, travel south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The journey passes through the Ishasha sector, where you may have a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions. The drive offers spectacular scenery of nearby hills, forests, and rural villages.

You will arrive at the park in afternoon and relax while preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 8

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Forest. The trek can take about 2–6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located.

Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you will hike through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom, and interact.

After the trek, transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, an incredibly scenic lake known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Relax by the lake, enjoy the cool highland atmosphere, observe the birdlife, and pay a visit to some of the lake’s islands.

You will have breakfast at the lodge and then check out for your drive Lake Mburo National Park, which will take about 5–6 hours. Travel via Kabale town, with views of hills often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” as well as the Kigezi highlands, passing local markets and cultural life.

Arrive in the afternoon and choose between an optional horse ride or an evening game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the park.

Lake Mburo National Park - Kampala

Lake Mburo is one of the most accessible savannah parks, located between Kampala and western Uganda, and is famous for zebras, impalas, beautiful lakes, and unique walking safaris. Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the park, where you may spot wildlife such as buffalos, impalas, zebras, warthogs, and leopards.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds such as kingfishers, fish eagles, and herons, with scenic views at sunset.

Return to Kampala via Masaka, with easy stops for photos and a visit to the Equator line at Kayabwe. Enjoy local crafts and roadside meals along the way before arriving in Kampala.
