Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy a guided city tour of Addis Ababa, including visits to the National Museum of Ethiopia, where the famous fossil Lucy is displayed, the historic St. George's Cathedral Addis Ababa, and the vibrant Merkato Addis Ababa, one of the largest open-air markets in Africa.

In the morning, you will take a domestic flight to Arba Minch. Upon arrival, you will drive to the Dorze village located in the scenic Guge Mountains, where you will explore their unique bamboo houses, learn about traditional weaving techniques, and experience the culture centered around enset (false banana). The day also offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Great Rift Valley.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you can observe large Nile crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat. Following the boat excursion, you will continue your journey to Turmi with a stop at the Konso Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its terraced hillsides and rich cultural traditions.

Today, you will visit the Karo tribe, who live along the Omo River and are renowned for their elaborate body painting and artistic expressions. In the afternoon, you will visit a village of the Hamer tribe, where you will gain insight into their daily life and traditions, and if available, you may witness a traditional bull jumping ceremony or explore a local market.

Day 5
Drive to Jinka – Market Visit – Ari Village

After breakfast, you will drive to Jinka, stopping along the way at either the Key Afer Market (held on Thursdays) or the Dimeka Market (held on Saturdays), both of which are vibrant gatherings of various ethnic groups. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ari tribe, where you will learn about their agricultural lifestyle, local traditions, and cultural practices.

Mursi Tribe – Fly to Addis Ababa
Mursi Tribe – Fly to Addis Ababa
Early in the morning, you will depart from Jinka and drive through the scenic landscapes of Mago National Park, a remote and untouched wilderness known for its rich wildlife and cultural diversity. Upon arrival, you will visit the Mursi tribe, one of the most iconic ethnic groups in the Omo Valley. The Mursi are particularly known for the unique tradition of lip plates worn by women, as well as their distinctive hairstyles, body scarification, and strong cultural identity that has been preserved for generations.
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to interact with the community, learn about their daily life, traditions, and social structure, and capture memorable photographs while respecting local customs and traditions.
After the visit, you will return to Jinka, where you will be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight back to Addis Ababa, marking the end of your Omo Valley exploration.

Upon arrival, you will begin exploring the first group of the remarkable Lalibela Rock-Hewn Churches, which were carved directly into solid rock during the 12th century and remain active places of worship today.

After breakfast, you will visit the second group of churches, including the iconic Bete Giyorgis, one of the most famous and architecturally impressive structures in Lalibela. In the afternoon, you will fly back to Addis Ababa. In the evening, you may enjoy a traditional Ethiopian cultural dinner featuring local cuisine, music, and dance before being transferred to the airport for your international departure.
