Day 1

Your safari begins in Maun, where your guide collects you before heading through Shorobe village toward Moremi Game Reserve. The journey takes about two hours, though wildlife sightings may extend the drive, with the adventure truly beginning once you cross the Buffalo fence. On arrival in Moremi, your camp is already prepared, with spacious Meru-style tents featuring real beds, private verandas, and en suite bush bathrooms (bucket shower, bush toilet, canvas sink). Today begins with an early wake-up call for tea or coffee, accompanied by light breakfast cereals and nibbles, before setting off on a sunrise game drive through the scenic Moremi Game Reserve. Today’s focus is on the Black Pools and Xini areas in the southwest, renowned for their rich wildlife. Expect excellent chances of seeing elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, and rare antelopes such as red lechwe and sitatunga, alongside abundant birdlife. Wild dogs, seldom seen elsewhere, are regularly sighted here. After returning to camp, enjoy a hearty brunch and a midday siesta before heading out again for a late afternoon game drive, exploring the same areas as dusk falls. After breaking camp, you cross the Khwai River and enter the Khwai Concession through North Gate, a pristine wilderness of lagoons, channels, and grasslands bordering Moremi. Shortly after an early breakfast, we break camp and bid farewell to Khwai Concession and the scenic Khwai River. You then embark on a five-hour journey to Savuti, located in the remote central region of Chobe National Park. On arrival, your camp is already prepared, with spacious Meru-style tents featuring real beds, private verandas, and en suite bush bathrooms (bucket shower, bush toilet, canvas sink). After resting, you head out for a late afternoon game drive in Savuti, a region famed for its dramatic landscapes and exceptional predator sightings. The Savuti lion pride is notorious for hunting elephant, while leopard, wild dog, hyena, and cheetah are also abundant. The next two days are dedicated to exploring Savuti, with morning and afternoon game drives offering new experiences each day depending on wildlife sightings and guest interests.
