Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After an early breakfast in Arusha, meet your professional safari driver-guide and depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and diverse reserves. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, towering baobab trees, and sweeping savannah landscapes.
Enjoy a morning game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, wildebeests, zebras, and countless bird species that inhabit the Tarangire River ecosystem. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the river.
In the afternoon, continue exploring deeper into the park — keep your eyes open for leopards resting in acacia trees or the endangered fringe-eared oryx. Later, exit the park and drive to the charming highland town of Karatu, set amid coffee plantations and rolling hills.
Settle in at Farm of Dreams Lodge, where you’ll enjoy a warm dinner and relaxing evening surrounded by lush gardens and views of the Ngorongoro highlands.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending from the highlands toward the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you may stop at the Olduvai Gorge Museum (optional, at an extra fee), where early human fossils were discovered — a fascinating window into human history.
Enter the Serengeti mid-day and enjoy an en-route game drive toward your camp. You’ll start seeing the park’s iconic wildlife almost immediately — gazelles, topis, buffaloes, elephants, lions, and possibly cheetahs patrolling the open plains.
Arrive at your luxury tented camp in time for lunch or afternoon tea. After settling in, head out for an evening game drive, when predators are often most active. Watch the golden Serengeti sunset before returning to camp for dinner and storytelling by the campfire.

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive — one of the most magical moments in the Serengeti. Witness lions returning from their nightly hunts, hippos heading back to the rivers, and the plains glowing gold with the first light.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring different regions of the Serengeti with your experienced guide. Depending on the season (June–October for the north or December–March for the south/central), you may witness the Great Migration, one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles.
Lunch will be a picnic in the wild, followed by more exploration — spotting leopards lounging in trees, elephants crossing rivers, or cheetahs scanning the horizon. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner under the stars and a relaxing night’s sleep in the heart of Africa’s greatest wilderness.

Stop for a picnic lunch en route, then continue to the Ngorongoro Highlands, ascending to over 2,000 meters above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views across the crater rim — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — before descending slightly to your lodge in Karatu.
