One of the most dramatic highlights is the Mara River crossing, where animals brave strong currents and lurking crocodiles. It hosts a thriving and self-sustaining ecosystem with an estimated 30,000 large animals living within its walls year-round. Visitors can expect to encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhinoceros. The crater is also home to an impressive array of bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. After breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting game drive with a hot hamper meal. Upon finishing your safari experience, you will be transferred back to Arusha or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
This park is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, which are frequently seen resting on the branches of large trees. It is also home to large troops of baboons that live in the forest and are often spotted along the road, sometimes appearing to greet visitors as they enter the park.
