Full-Day Fishing Experience on the Nile River
After a hearty breakfast, gear up for a full day of sport fishing along the powerful waters of the River Nile. Murchison Falls National Park is considered one of the best fishing destinations in East Africa, especially for those in pursuit of the mighty Nile perch, which can grow up to 113 kg.
You’ll fish in the company of an experienced local guide, using top-quality fishing gear provided for the trip. Your fishing location will be near the Devil’s Cauldron, just below the falls, where nutrient-rich, oxygenated waters create the perfect habitat for large fish.
Return to Paraa Safari Lodge for lunch, then continue your fishing excursion in the afternoon, possibly targeting catfish or tigerfish in quieter backwaters. As the day winds down, head back to the lodge to relax, share fishing stories, and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.

Begin your day with breakfast before heading out for a second round of sport fishing. This day offers another chance to target record-breaking Nile perch, and with two days on the river, your chances of a big catch increase significantly.
In the afternoon, trade your fishing gear for hiking boots and take a guided trek to the top of Murchison Falls. This short but steep hike rewards you with breathtaking views of the Nile as it thunders through a 7-meter-wide gorge, dropping 45 meters with immense force. Morning Game Drive – Rhino Tracking at Ziwa – Return to Kampala
Rise early for your final game drive, this time exploring the northern sector of the park, when wildlife is most active. This is your chance to spot animals you may have missed on day one—perhaps a leopard on the hunt, or a herd of elephants at a watering hole.
After the drive, check out and begin your return journey. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. Upon arrival, you’ll be briefed and then set out on foot for an intimate rhino tracking experience. Led by expert rangers, you’ll observe these massive, endangered creatures in their natural habitat.
