Depending on your time of arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by your professional driver-guide from Littlerock Safaris, who will be ready to assist you with your luggage and ensure a smooth and comfortable start to your journey. After a brief introduction and safari briefing, you will be transferred in a well-equipped vehicle to a carefully selected luxury hotel in Entebbe.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you will proceed with check-in and have time to unwind from your journey, whether by relaxing in your room, enjoying the serene surroundings, or taking advantage of the hotel’s premium amenities. Later in the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner as you settle in and prepare for the exciting experiences ahead. You will then retire for a restful overnight stay, marking the beginning of your 9-day Uganda Wildlife Luxury Safari.

Today after your breakfast you will be taken to Entebbe Airport/ Kajjansi airfield to catch your fly-in safari to Kasese (Queen Elizabeth N.P.).

The journey will take you about 2 hours to reach the Kasese airstrip.

Upon arrival in Kasese, you will be picked up from the airstrip by a representative of Littlerock safaris heading to your accommodation which is Mweya Safari Lodge located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Mweya peninsula. Watch wildlife from your private verandah and fall asleep to the roaring of lions on the distant savannah. This truly is Africa!.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. Lions are often sighted both inside and at the entrance to the park.

Today you wake up early. A little before sunrise coffee/tea will be served in the lounge before you head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across elephants, Buffalo, Lion, Water-buck, Leopard, Uganda Kob, and many Warthogs.

A well-deserved lunch will be served back at the lodge in the late morning.

In the afternoon you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine!), as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffalo, crocodiles, bathing elephants, and a range of beautiful birds.

Day 4

Drive to Ishasha for tree climbing lions

Today you will be transferred to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth N.P. This area is called Ishasha and is famous for its tree-climbing lions.

To escape from the heat during the day, the lions learned how to climb the fig trees. If you’re lucky you might spot a few during your afternoon game drive.

After the game drive, you will be taken to Ishasha Wilderness Camp, a very nice and luxurious lodge with wonderful views over the savanna and a river packed with hippos!

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After breakfast, you will do another game drive and have a chance to spot the tree-climbing lions. After lunch at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, you will be transferred to Buhoma in Bwindi, home of the mountain gorillas.

Buhoma community Haven Lodge is a spacious site lying above Buhoma village, a 5-minute drive from the main road, and this elevated location guarantees the best views across Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

It was opened in December 2014 to help the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America ( Bermuda) cater for clients interested in something more than budget accommodation.

Begin your day with an early morning briefing at the park headquarters in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park before setting off into the dense rainforest for your gorilla trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers, you will hike through thick vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat—an intimate and unforgettable wildlife encounter that is often the highlight of any Ugandan safari.

After returning from the trek, you will head back to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some time to refresh. In the afternoon, depart Bwindi and enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda towards Lake Bunyonyi, often referred to as one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes. Begin your day with a guided nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park, a unique opportunity to explore the park on foot accompanied by an armed ranger.
