Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, heading north through changing landscapes into the semi-arid beauty of Samburu National Reserve. Arriving in time for lunch, you will have some time to relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. This first exploration introduces you to the reserve’s unique terrain and wildlife, including the rare “Samburu Special Five” such as Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe. As the sun sets over the rugged landscape, you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Samburu and journey south towards Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley.
