Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari driver-guide, who will brief you on your upcoming adventure before departing for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, passing beautiful escarpments, rolling countryside, and local towns along the way as you journey toward one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations.

You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch and check-in, followed by some time to relax before heading out for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. Day 2

Having a second full day in the reserve gives you more time to explore different areas and increases your chances of spotting a wider variety of wildlife and enjoying more unforgettable safari moments. With your guide leading the way, continue searching for the Big Five while also watching for cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelope, and many other animals that roam the Mara’s endless plains.

After breakfast, check out of camp and begin your journey from the Masai Mara to the beautiful Lake Naivasha, enjoying scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. The drive takes you through rolling hills, local towns, and picturesque countryside, offering a different side of Kenya’s natural beauty as you leave the savannah behind and head toward the lake region.

You will arrive at your lodge in the Lake Naivasha area in time for lunch and check-in, followed by some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Lake Naivasha is one of Kenya’s most beautiful freshwater lakes, known for its rich birdlife, resident hippos, and serene atmosphere. The rest of the afternoon can be spent at leisure at the lodge, allowing you to unwind after your safari adventures in the Mara. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your lodge in Lake Naivasha.

You may opt for a boat ride on the lake, where you can get close to hippos and spot a variety of birdlife, or visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelope (optional activities at an extra cost). This is a great chance to experience wildlife from a different perspective before concluding your safari.

Later, check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi, enjoying the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in the city in the afternoon and be dropped off either at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable 5-day Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha safari.
